You get the first tentative view shortly after Ilanz at the suspension bridge over the Rhine. It's almost a getting used to the deep views that follow. Now it's time to go to the sunny side and later down again to the rushing Vorderrhein in Valendas. From Valendas-Sagogn station to the village of Valendas, you have to pedal uphill for the time being. A short detour to the hidden Alix viewing platform - beware of the view - and on along side roads and real insider trails to Versam and on to the Versamer Tobel. Another deep view. The Tobelbrücke, a few years ago still used for normal road traffic (!), offers you a brilliant view of the Rabiusabach, which rushes gently out of the Safiental.
As soon as you pedal, we will guide you to another highlight of the tour: Of course, to a deep view! However, you have to climb this point on foot from the small log cabin. But the few meters are definitely worth it. On the way you can climb onto a small platform next to the road again for a short time before entering the Bonaduz Forest. On the short section down to the large suspension bridge - attention deep view - at Trin train station you will find a bike ban. This makes sense because it is very steep here and there are often many hikers on the trail.
Up to the well-known viewing platform "il Spir" in Conn - the next view - you can test your form and crank up around 400 metres in altitude on side roads and gravel roads. Take your time and enjoy the 350-metre-deep view of the Rhine Gorge – the "Grand Canyon of Switzerland". Until Laax Staderas there are only about 100 meters of altitude before it is only downhill with small exceptions. Via the village of Sagogn you get back to Ilanz.
