Beschreibung

We start our hike in Curaglia on the little-used road to Mutschnengia, and soon we can turn left onto a driveway. We cross the Rein da Medel over a Roman bridge. It is assumed that already in the Middle Ages traders and pilgrims crossed the stream at this place. We also take a look at the pretty little chapel in Pali, which dates back to the 17th century. From here the path climbs steadily until we finally reach the edge of the forest on a hiking trail.

After a short and steep descent we see it! The suspension bridge made of larch wood has a span of almost 100 meters and in the middle we have a deep view of 40 meters. It was built by forest warden apprentices in only 4 weeks.

Between the sun-baked houses and stables of the village of Mutschnengia we find many a beautiful photo subject. Time seems to have stood still.

At the lower end of the village we find the hiking trail back to the valley and back to Curaglia.

Geheimtipp

In the panoramic restaurant Cuntera we enjoy a "Marenda Medellina" or a dessert.

Sicherheitshinweis

The path is not completely feasible for strollers (short but steep hiking trail section in the forest)

Wegbeschreibung

From the Lukmanier Pass route we follow the signpost to Mutschnengia. Before we arrive at the creek, we turn left onto the road. A little later, a hiking trail branches off down to the stream and on the other side to the Pali Chapel. On a forest path we gain altitude up to the junction to a hiking trail that leads to the edge of the forest. Now we descend slightly until we reach the suspension bridge. From Mutschnengia, the hiking trail leads past the Hotel Cuntera down the valley to the creek again. Then follows the last ascent up to Curaglia.
