Beschreibung

From Thusis railroad station, head to the Thusis Süd traffic circle and continue in the direction of Übernolla. At the depot, a hiking trail branches off to the left in the direction of Bofel. The trail climbs steadily via 'Under Mädelti' to the highest point at 1,060 m above sea level. The descent leads via Brandi, Pünta and Rongellen down to the cantonal road.

The next 300 m or so are covered in the direction of the river on the cantonal road until a hiking trail leads off to the right. After the descent, the trail crosses to the other side of the river and follows the 'viaSpluga' hiking trail on a narrow path over a ledge directly to the visitor center and into the legendary Viamala Gorge.

Any hiking trail closures/restrictions or detour can be found here.
