Beschreibung

The trail begins in the village of Isola, idyllically situated on a peninsula in Lake Sils. Following the cross-country ski trail, it leads through Isola and further north-east. After about 800 metres, the snowshoe trail turns off to the right from the cross-country ski trail and climbs slightly until it joins the summer trail to Sils. Follow this trail gently downhill until you reach the plain of Sils.

Wegbeschreibung

The trail begins in the village of Isola, idyllically situated on a peninsula in Lake Sils. Following the winter hiking trail, it leads through Isola and continues northeast. After about 800m, the snowshoe trail branches off to the right of the hiking trail and climbs slightly until it joins the summer path to Sils. Following this, after a final descent, the route continues gently until you reach the plain of Sils.

The snowshoe hike can be easily combined with the Maloja - Brusciabräga circular trail. Follow this on the snowshoe route from Maloja to the plain of Brusciabräga and change there to the winter hiking trail to Isola.

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

In winter, Isola can be reached on foot across the lake from the Plaun da Lej post bus stop (if it is frozen) - or via the Maloja winter hiking trail (Maloja Posta bus stop).
