Schamser Bergwiesen im Naturpark Beverin (Flower Walk)

This circular hike leads through the unique natural and cultural landscape of the Beverin Nature Park. Halfway along the route, you will reach the mountain lake Libi, which is located at the foot of Piz Beverin, the heart of the regional nature park. The park is known for deep gorges, intact villagescapes, landscape-defining churches and majestic ibex. The start of the hike is the Romanesque mountain village of Mathon. The ascent to the Mursenas mountain pasture leads through valuable dry pastures as well as through a calcareous flat moor with the inflated gentian. From Mursenas, the trail continues through colourful mowing meadows with beguiling-smelling carnations to a rare botanical phenomenon: a swinging lawn with sheath cotton grass. At the Libi there is a resting place with a view of the Val Schons. The route continues downhill along dry meadows of national importance with black men's loyalty and arnica. When you reach the village of Lohn, you can stop for a bite to eat, change to the post bus or continue along the Klangweg to Mathon. Shortly before the end, a botanical treat awaits: the felted burdock.
