Long-distance hike from the mountaineering village of Ardez to the Sesvenna AVS mountain hut

Die anspruchsvollste Etappe startet im kleinen Weiler S-Charl an der Grenze das Schweizer Nationalparkes. Nach einem kurzen flachen Abschnitt beginnt der rund steile Anstieg über die Fora da l’Aua zwischen dem Piz Cotschen und dem Piz d’Immez. Auf der Seenplatte zwischen dem Lajet de Laschana und dem Lai d’Immez gelangt man über die Grenze zur AVS Schutzhütte Sesvenna.

Public transport takes you to the beautiful little village of S-Charl. From here, the trail starts through the Val Sesvenna along the Aua Sesvenna stream, which bears the name of the stage finish. After a short flat ascent, the steepest part of the stage begins, with around 800 metres of altitude difference to overcome. Once you reach Lajet de Lischana, it is worth taking a short break and enjoying the marvellous view. The route leads along the various lakes to the Schlinig Pass, where you cross the border into South Tyrol. The last few metres invite you to relax again until you reach the end of the stage at the AVS Sesvenna mountain hut.
