Beschreibung

In the Safiental you will find traditional Walser houses, which were built of wood. But not in Valendas. Stately buildings made of stone predominate there, which suggest an earlier wealth.

Learn the history of the mountain village of Valendas with a total of 14 stops on this village tour. The route begins at the village square with the largest wooden fountain in Europe and its water mermaid from 1760 as a fountain stock. It is worth strolling through the village with the brochure "Valendas Village Tour", which is available on site. Valendas has a lot to offer with its historic and stately patrician buildings as well as with the townscape of national importance. In addition, the permanent exhibition in the stable of the historic Jooshuus provides information about the history and development of the mountain village.

Geheimtipp

You can also visit the faszinaturRaum, which provides a lot of interesting information about the flora and fauna in the Safiental.
