Beschreibung

Take the chairlift from the Brigels valley station (Brigels-Dorf) to reach the starting point of the Pradas Winter Hiking Trail "Crest Falla." The first few meters require a short uphill walk to the starting point. If you’re already in the mood for a hot drink or a meal, you can take a short hike up to the Burleun mountain restaurant.

Once you reach the groomed alpine road, the real downhill tour towards Brigels begins. The views of the opposite side of the Surselva Valley are so stunning that it’s easy to miss the many turnoffs. It’s best to check the route briefly at every intersection. However, the path mostly leads downhill and always towards Brigels. The tour ends at the Flembach near Sogn Martin, not at the valley station of the lifts. You can return to the valley station via the village road.

For those seeking a more active challenge, feel free to hike the route uphill instead.

Geheimtipp

Once on the winter hiking trail, you’ll have the chance to discover various animal tracks in the deep snow. From hares to deer, a range of tracks can be spotted. Do you know which track belongs to which animal? If not, take the opportunity later, once you’ve reached the village, to ask a local hunter or farmer.

Sicherheitshinweis

In uncertain weather conditions, the tour should be avoided. Weather changes in the mountains are frequent. If a bad weather front or similar conditions arise during the hike, you should turn back in time. We also advise against hiking in dense fog.

Please note that parts of the route overlap with the sledding track. Stay calm in such situations and keep to the far left or right side of the path.

Bring provisions with a hot drink, sturdy and high hiking boots or winter boots, warm clothing, sunscreen, and hiking poles if possible.

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

Train stop Tavanasa-Breil/Brigels. Continue by post bus to Breil-vitg, posta or to the mountain railways, Breil/Brigels, Pendicularas.

Main street (No. 19). Junction Tavanasa-Breil/Brigels. Then take Via Principala and Casut to Cuort.
