Beschreibung

Three highlights are packed in this hike: The witch plate "Platta dil Barlot", the extraordinary witch lake "Lai dalla Stria" and the newly signposted ascent on a blue/white route over the Alp Caschlé. Already after the Uaul Flurin we overlook the Val Tujetsch almost from a bird's eye view and we dive into a varied landscape. The Hexenplatte is still in a gentle hollow on a meadow, but after we change to the blue /white route it soon becomes more rocky and we get an insight into the Val Strem with Wittenalpstock and Oberalpstock. We have to be attentive to wayfinding, because no trail tracks have yet formed. Once we have reached the highest point on the ridge, the Hexensee lies in front of us, unfathomably dark and embedded between bright, round-cut rocks. Rare flowers grow on the green moss bands in between and if we are lucky, we will even find crystals. For an extended picnic we choose the large rock, which almost towers a pulpit above the water. The fact that we see the mountain scenery twice is not due to the wine we brought with us, it is the fantastic reflections for which the lake is so well known.  On the way to the Val Milar we cross small wetlands and streams and below the middle plates we go on the valley path to Rueras only downhill.

Important: If you are traveling with the GPS - the path is not yet recorded in the topographic map so the route is a bit inaccurate!  We adhere to the red/white and blue/wise markings!

Geheimtipp

Crystals lying around can simply be taken with you, only those who are traveling with tools need a spotlight patent.

Sicherheitshinweis

In midsummer, cows graze with their calves in val milar. Caution is advised. The white/blue signaled part of the hike requires sure-footedness and a sense of orientation.

Wegbeschreibung

We leave the stop to the north, cross under the tracks and walk to the right on a road to its end. Even before the Maiensäss we branch off to the left and further up again. We meet a forest road where we continue diagonally opposite on a hiking trail through the forest. We stay on the route to Caschlé. Here is a new signpost with the blue/white route. We follow this to the Hexensee. At the lake we meet again on a signpost red / white markings. Between the Hexensee and the Lai Selvadi we follow the signs to the left, downhill, until we come across the hiking trail no. 43. Walking down to the left again, we reach a paved road at Pardatsch, which we follow to the train stop.
