Beschreibung

From Vrin, a dirt road leads through fat meadows and a species-rich mixed forest down to Glogn. Continue past the bronze settlement of Crestaulta to Surin. From Surin, the trail runs to Pruastg Dado on the busy main road. There you leave the road and follow the path over the meadows up to the suspension bridge. Crossing the 67-meter-long and 45-meter-high bridge may require some overcoming for the one or the other. After the bridge, a hiking trail leads down to Silgin. From there, the hike continues on the forest road towards Surcasti. After a good two kilometers, the path forks. Take the upper path towards Schumials. From the Schumials fire pit, there are two ways to hike to Surcasti. The one leads over the paved melioration road, the other is a path that goes through the forest towards Surcasti. Walk through the village towards sogn Luregn church. The old connecting road will take you to Uors.

Instead of hiking towards Schumials, you can also take the direct path (partly paved) to Surcasti.

Via Chur A3/A13 via Flims to Ilanz in the Val Lumnezia.

Vrin: Public parking on the schoolhouse area (overnight for a fee)

Uors: Public parking on the outskirts of the village (coming from Ilanz) and on the schoolhouse area.

The church, dedicated to the martyr Laurentius, is located on the castle hill between Glenner and Valserrhein, visible from afar. The castle has disappeared. Only the keep is still standing and has served as a church tower for the church built at that time since 1515.
