View of the Calanda

Looking up to the western wall of the Calanda from down in the valley in the village centre of Vättis, ancient crystalline rocks may be visible. Above these there are sediments deposited in the sea. These sedimentary sequences are repeated several times as whole rock packages were overthrust.
