Beschreibung

This stage takes us from Langwies north of the Plessur down over the Sappüner Bach and the Plessur to the left, southern bank of the Plessur, where we hike to Tschiertschen on the shady northern flank of the Weisshorn, mostly through forests through the Schanfigg towards Chur. The railway between Chur and Arosa also crosses the Plessur at Langwies. On the left bank we climb up, cross the railway line and reach the road in the Prätschwald that connects Arosa with Molinis. We walk along this road to Molinis on the right bank of the Plessur, which is well worth seeing. Molinis and his church were destroyed by a debris flow in the summer of 1980 and rebuilt in 1982.
Back on the left bank, we follow the road via Höhi to Tschiertschen, a continuous ascent with beautiful views of the other side of the Schanfigg valley. Shortly after the crosses of the wild Ruchtobel we reach the stage town of Tschiertschen.

Geheimtipp

From Davos we noticed that the Romance language is no longer spoken.  we find a third version of it behind Ilanz.
