A fire pit on the hiking trail and two fireplaces on Lake Panixersee (with grill grate, wood) invite you to picnic. The unusual historical monument on the dam wall commemorates the retreat of the Russian Field Marshal Suvorov, who lost many soldiers, horses and almost all the war material in the snow with his troops in 1799 while fleeing from the French army while crossing the Panixer Pass.
After the slightly steep ascent to the Panixersee (Rhaeto-Romanic "Lag da Pigniu") and during the entertaining circumnavigation of the romantically located reservoir, you will be able to marvel at the deeply falling waterfalls.
