On the left side of the fountain in Vattiz are two shell stones and a grinding stone walled in. It is believed that the large shells of the two stones originally served as suspension devices for the axis of a water wheel.
Beschreibung
On the left side of the fountain in Vattiz are two bowl stones and a grindstone. They were integrated into the road wall during the construction of the road between 1970 and 1980. One shell stone was originally located southwest of the church, the other served as the lowest step of the stairs to the church portal. The grindstone came to light during the widening of the road at the well. In the area of these three boulders there was a stream, which is now dug in. It is believed that the large shells of the two stones originally served as suspension devices for the axis of a water wheel.
