Vals - Aberschhus - Uf der Matta - Peil - Bord -Vals

Varied half-day hike over alpine meadows and beautiful mountain pastures to Peil and from there via the Peilerstrasse back to Vals. Variant: From Peil via the Peilerhöfe to the Peilerstrasse. On this back to Vals.

Geissalp Peil: In the afternoon between about 4 and 5 p.m., the goats return from the pasture to Geissalp (June to September).

From the square up the alley. Keep left at Hotel Valserhof. In the first curve turn right along the freight road, in curves up the slope to the Aberschhus. From there follow the path to the mountain pastures Kartütscha, Uf der Matta (1734 m) and Tschifera. From the mountain pasture Tschifera in the easy descent down into the valley to Inder Peil. Refreshments at the kiosk Peil. Opening hours as noticed.
From Peil to Vals back on the Peilerstrasse. (Variant: From Peil via the Peilerhöfe only later coming to the Peilerstrasse. Pass the farms Hofli, Furrahus, Chappelihus and Bodahus and through the forest to the Peilerstrasse. ) On the Peilerstrasse back to Vals. First in the sun, then through the forest. At the beginning next to the Peiler Bach, later above. (On board there is the possibility, to shorten, to descend the very steep meadow path from the board to Balma in Vals.) Otherwise follow the Peilerstrasse to the Gross Cheer, where the Peilerstrasse meets the Zerfreilastrasse. From there continue to Vals.

Alternative according to bearing: Vals - Ronggkapelle - Illagrass (over the inner Illagrassteg onto the Peilerstrasse. Then on to Peil.)
