Beschreibung
A small hill below the village of Degen bears the name Turatscha (mighty tower) and shows traces of a vanished castle. It is the ancestral castle of the episcopal ministeriales of Blumenthal, who controlled and secured the paths. The mule path from the southern Valserberg led over the Glenner bridges below Uors/Surcasti to Degen and from there over the pass Sogn Carli or through the dam of Porclas.
