The Tessitura Valposchiavo was founded as a cooperative in 1955 to counteract the threat of emigration of the young population and to preserve a tradition that threatened to disappear from everyday life. Even today, it offers those interested in weaving the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship and to receive the federal apprentice diploma. Tessitura specialises in high-quality products for a niche market. Thanks to the growing awareness of the value of craftsmanship that has developed among the population in recent years, weaving contributes to the positive image of the region, also from a tourist point of view.
