You start from the parking lot in Staderas, which is also a bus stop. You leave it over a bridge, walk through the village of Murtscheg and are immediately in the wonderfully cool forest. This offers you shade while you trot ever steeper uphill. On the Runcahöhe you have reached your highest point and can enjoy the wonderfully fresh mountain water at the fountain at the barbecue area.
