Summit Tour Combination Gamidauerspitz + Garmil on the Pizol

On the Gamidauerspitz and the Garmil, the Sarganserland and the St. Gallen Rhine Valley lie at our feet. To the left, the Churfirsten protrude from the ground, to the right, the view sweeps as far as the Graubünden mountains. With a bit of luck, you can even spot chamois or eagles along the way. In addition, information boards on the UNESCO World Heritage Site Tectonic Arena Sardona line the way.

From the Gaffia mountain station, we follow the signs towards Lake Baschalva. After a few meters, the first stop is already at the old Alp Gaffia. The path now leads over several hairpin bends high over the Chuetschingel until we reach Lake Baschalva after about 1h 15min. The destination, the Gamidauerspitz, is already in sight. From Lake Baschalva we follow the signpost in the direction of Schwarzsee. After a few more meters of altitude we reach the point Baseggla at 2280 m above sea level.M. From this point we follow the ridge along the right and after about 200m we reach the highest point of today's tour, the Gamidauerspitz.

From the Gamidauerspitz we continue downhill. The Garmil is already rising in front of us. At the signpost Basürla we follow the path towards "Fürggli via Garmil". Arriving on the Garmil, we do not continue in the direction of Fürggli, but take the same path back to the Basürla junction. There we follow the signpost towards Gaffia Station, which we reach after just under an hour.
