The Curnera reservoir, together with the Lai da Sontga Maria and Lai da Nalps reservoirs in the neighbouring valleys, forms a single water management system connected by tubes.
The building dates back to 1966, is 153 meters high and has a crown length of 350 meters.
The road to the dam wall is not public and no driving permits are available.
