Stage program "Julia Kubik & Manuel Stahlberger"

Hamburg has the Hamburg School, Atlanta has the trap, Saignelégier has the horses, St.Gallen has the laconia. But what exactly is it? And why does it thrive so well in the high valley on the eastern edge? Probably no one has a clear answer to this. But this show would be represented in the corresponding Wikipedia article, if there was one.
Julia Kubik and Manuel Stahlberger both like to dissect local events, interpersonal and general issues. And now they are doing this together on stage for the first time. "machen es wie die Sonnenuhr" combines various tragicomic miniatures in slide shows, songs, texts and short films. It is about new monuments, old French textbooks, historical poetry albums, invented services, biscuit dough and the final clarification of the pike incidents in the St.Gallen ponds.
Julia Kubik is a comic artist and author who lives in St.Gallen. She writes jokes for a TV show, makes comics for the Eastern Swiss cultural magazine Saiten, plays in the band "Hundefutter", co-hosts a talk show and makes many Insta stories about the abysses and joys of the province. Her comics are often about animals and infrastructure. In 2023, she received the Cultural Promotion Award of the City of St.Gallen.
Manuel Stahlberger is a singer-songwriter and illustrator and lives in St.Gallen. He is on the road with his solo shows in Swiss small theatres, and he tours the music clubs with his band. Stahlberger was awarded a "Swiss Prize for the Performing Arts" in 2021 and the Salzburg Bull in 2009. For a few months, he was Dominic Deville's sideman in his SRF late-night show. For the Eastern Swiss cultural magazine Saiten, Stahlberger drew the comic series "Herr Mäder".
