The ski and snowshoe routes are to be understood as general directions. Depending on the conditions, ascent and descent routes must be adapted. Walking routes in alpine terrain requires good physical condition, serious preparation and technical knowledge of mountain sports. The ascent of the described routes is at your own risk. For safe mountain sports, Viamala Tourism recommends training under expert guidance or a guided ski tour by trained mountain guides.

Mathon can be reached by PostBus. The bus stop is located directly at the starting point. Further information on the timetable can be found on the SBB website: www.sbb.ch.

Coming from the north (Thusis) on the A13 after the Viamala gorge, leave the highway at the exit "Zillis / Andeer". Then turn right before Zillis towards Mathon/Lohn/Wergenstein and follow the road up the mountain. From the south (San Bernardino), leave the A13 motorway at the Andeer exit. Take the cantonal road to Zillis and follow the signs Mathon/Lohn/Wergenstein up the mountain.
