The Rheinwald is a veritable Eldorado for ski tourers. The tour to the Chilchalphorn from Walserdorf Hinterrhein attracts with magnificent views and beautiful descents. In good conditions, this summit is celebrated relatively frequently. It is best to park at the stream in the limited parking spaces "Räppia". From there, follow the path up and cross the stream at the bridge. You can continue on the winter hiking trail to Nügädemli and to the Chilchalp alpine huts. Then west of the Chilchalp in the direction of Trösbach to about point 2446 where you can follow the Trösbach to about point 2739. Southern ascent to the east ridge to about point 2950 (Skidept). Finally, you can climb along the ridge to the summit. The descent takes place on the ascent route. In the Rheinwald you will find various accommodation options.
