Schneehüenerstock - Nätschen Gütsch

Where previously only the military could reach the secret fortress inside the Schneehüenerstock by condola, hikers can now also enjoy a breezy ride to this fantastic vantage point. From the terrace of the restaurant we enjoy a magnificent panoramic view all the way to the Ticino mountains. We start the hike with a short descent to Lake Luter, which lies nestled in a hollow at the foot of Grossschijen. We settle down on the shore for a while, have a picnic and enjoy the view of snow-covered peaks. On an old military road we walk easily up to the mountain station Gütsch, there is enough space and breath to walk side by side and chat.

Variante1: From the Lutersee on the hiking trail south of the lake over the Grossboden to Gütsch T2

Variant 2: Get off at the middle station Platte and walk directly to the Lutersee without descending. T1

In late summer, the water of the Lutersee reaches bathing temperature

From the Schneehüenerstock mountain station, we follow the signposted hiking trail down to Lake Lutersee. Along the north bank, a road leads to Nätschen-Gütsch in a westerly direction.
