Schmelzi Ausserferrera

For centuries, raw materials such as iron and ore helped the Ferrera and Schamsertal valleys to achieve a certain prosperity. Today the mines have been closed down, but the witnesses of the past are still visible.

The Hinterrhein Ore Mines Association ensures that these contemporary witnesses can be rediscovered in the mining museum in Innerferrera and on guided excursions.
