Schloss Tarasp (oua_23846916_image)
As a landmark of the Lower Engadine, Tarasp Castle, built in 1040, majestically overlooks the region, which is now owned by the local and internationally renowned artist Not Vital.

Beschreibung

Tarasp belonged to Austria until the beginning of the 19th century. At the turn of the 20th century, the castle was bought in desolate condition by K. A. Lingner, spa guest and inventor of the Odol mouthwash, for CHF 20,000.00 and extensively renovated.

In 2016, the Swiss artist, Not Vital, acquired the castle. Today, Tarasp Castle houses a collection of ancient, modern, and contemporary art. The Not Vitals Foundation also includes the Parkin, a sculpture park in Sent, and the historic Plantahaus in Ardez.
