Schatzsuche mit der «Huria Fängge» in Mutten

The treasures are part of the Walser culture and cultural landscape of Obermutten, Stafel and Mutten. The "Huria Fangge", a legendary figure from Mutten, shows the way. At the finish, the treasure hunters can choose a surprise from the treasure chest. On the back there is interesting information about the language, construction method and everyday culture.

The Walser treasure hunt with the "Huria Fängge" can be hiked from mid-May to the end of October. The trail is 3 km long and runs along old trail tracks. The search for the treasures takes about 2 hours (without a break).

The treasure hunt begins in Obermutten. Duration approx. 2 hours. Move-in/Start Gasthaus Post, Obermutten, Tel. +41 81 936 02 02, www.gasthauspost.ch. Reference/destination: old bakehouse, Mutten. Cost per child: CHF 5.00. Recommended; Park your car in Mutten and take public transport to Obermutten, so at the end of the treasure hunt you are directly at the vehicle.

At the Stafel, at the halfway point of the treasure hunt, there is a nice barbecue area. Sausages can be bought in the self-service shop «inscha Laada» in Kulturtenn Obermutten.

The starting point of the hike is the Gasthaus Post in Obermutten (1863m). The destination is the former restaurant Muttner Stübli in Mutten (1395m).
