Sargans

The most important Sargans sight and landmark is Sargans Castle, which houses the "Museum Sarganserland". The museum was awarded the "Museum of the Year in Europe" award in 1984 and was included in the list of the 37 most visited museums in the world in 1987. Another attraction is the Gonzenbergwerk, which is now accessible as a show mine and makes an eventful tour possible.
