Santa Maria Stausee - Trail

At the moment, finding your way to the roof of the newly renovated gallery along the lake is a bit difficult, as an extension of the gallery is still being built. But once at the top, we are thrilled by the view of the lake. And totally motivated! It's easy to walk here and when we're out in the morning, the shadow of Piz Scopi keeps us nice and fresh.

From Hospezi Santa Maria, a military road continues into Val Termine. At the end of the lake, where the Rein da Medel flows from the Val Cadlimo into the lake, we find beautiful pools where we can take a short swim. The true sparkling freshness, but not for the faint-hearted!

In slight ups and downs we go on a single trail in the direction of Val Rondadura, where we meet an alpine road. Running out to the dam wall with a view of the Tödi is a pleasure.

With or without swimming trunks - at the end of the lake, in the Gumpen in val appointments we can take a bath.

In front of the gallery we climb on a path to the gallery roof. A hiking trail leads to the Lukmanier Pass, where we walk behind the Hospezi Santa Maria on a military road into Val Termine. At the end of the lake we meet a single trail into Val Rondadura. Finally, an alpine road leads us back to the starting point.
