Rundwanderung Hitzeggen, Vella

The hike starts at the middle station Triel and leads over Alpine pasture up to the first highlight, the small mountain lake in the middle of the forest. In the clear water, the surrounding mountains and the trees peek and radiate a restful peace. Continue through the forest to the trutg da stiarls barbecue area and up to Fontauna nera. With a little luck, the marmots can be observed here in front of their buildings. From Fontauna Nera it gets a bit steeper. The hiking trail winds its way through the untouched nature up to Cauma su. From there it goes over the slope to the Hitzeggen. At the Hitzeggen it is worth taking a break and enjoying the beautiful view. If you are already tired, you can take the chairlift back (see the timetable). On foot, the path continues in the direction of Péz Mundaun. At the "Indianerloch" as the locals call it, the descent over the alpine pastures back to Triel begins. 

Variant: Above the forest, at Crestas aultas, follow the road. The hike then leads past La Tegia and tastes at Cauma su again in the hiking trail to Hitzeggen. 

The hike can be shortened with a mountain railway ride. (Triel - Heat or return).
