Rueun - Schnaus, offizieller Trail 905

On the left causeway from the Glenner we reach the mouth of the Vorderrhein on the mountainside bank. The hiking trail leads there in a westerly direction along the Vorderrhein to the level crossing at the Rhine bridge in Ilanz. There you cross the road along the railway track and reach the market square between the rest of the Rhine crown and the railway embankment, which you traverse to cross the tracks again after the Landi at the level crossing and thus get back to the banks of the Vorderrhein. After the railway bridge, this hiking trail leads into the Polenweg, a dirt road on which you now move over a longer distance through forest area towards Disentis. In Plaun Grond this trail divides into a summer and a winter trail:

The summer trail continues on the Polenweg to the old wooden bridge, over which you go towards Rueun. Slightly ascending you reach the village center and leave it again in a southerly direction. On a hiking trail you reach in and through the village of Schnaus. The only road through this village leads to the hamlet of Strada, where a dirt road leads to the right under the railway and road route again to the railway and pedestrian bridge over the Vorderrhein. From there, the same path as at the beginning leads back to the starting point of Fontanivas.

The Wintertrail (> 10,587 m long / 51 m HD) branches off to the right in Plaun Grond, crosses the Vorderrhein and a short time later the main road. On the northern side of this road, a field path leads to the village of Schnaus, where the path reconnects with the summer trail.
