The required treasure map (only in German) is available in the faszinatur room, at the information points in Valendas and Versam and from Safiental Tourism.

Start at the wooden well in Valendas along the main road towards Ilanz. Turn right at the first junction and walk along the inner courtyard stone wall. The courtyards, typical of Valendas, are traditionally planted with fruit trees, where green woodpeckers and dormice find shelter in old trees. After the last house, you walk through the warmth-loving Erika pine forest and along a meadow to the "Alix" viewing platform with a magnificent view of the Rhine Gorge! Continue around the Altaun hill. The wealth of plants on the Altaun is characterised by its sheltered location and the dryness and warmth that come with it. Back in the village, it is worth looking out for barn swallows nesting in Valendas.
