Ponte Runchett da Sotsassa

It could one day become the landmark of Poschiavo, as it sits enthroned up there. The wooden construction is part of a path that opens up the typical terraced fields, the so-called "Runchett", on which vegetables and fruit were grown for the hotels in the Engadine until the 2nd World War. 

The stone terraces above Poschiavo were previously difficult to access and have been neglected in recent decades: they were correspondingly overgrown and overgrown when the municipality tackled the restoration. They were repaired and the dry stone walls were renovated.

A relatively steep descent leads back to the Borgo, which you have just admired from a bird's eye view.
