Piz Titschal in Obersaxen

If you arrive by public transport, you can start walking directly from the terminus of the Postbus in Friggahüs. If you arrive by car, we recommend starting from the small car park in front of St. Martin.

The ascent takes place over alpine meadows to the Maiensäss settlement of Wasma and later through the forest and over a wide area to the Vorderalp. Here you have already done more than half of the altitude difference and deserve an extensive break in an alpine environment. At first, it continues at a leisurely pace until the terrain becomes steeper and more alpine from time to time. However, no major difficulties are to be expected. The summit of Piz Titschal represents the beginning of the mighty Val Gronda chain. The view extends as far as the Furkahörner, the Oberalpstock, the Tödi and the Calanda and beyond.

Now you can either ski down along the ascent route or ski the often powdery slopes in the direction of Chrizbial. As a small disadvantage, you have to cross in the direction of Vorderalp before you come back to the ascent route. But it can still be worth it.

In safe conditions, it is also possible to drive to the Lumbreinerbrücke. If you have arrived by public transport, you will extend the tour to Tobel (before Meierhof). This variant is not listed here.
