A little-known summit with wide powder snow slopes.

Beschreibung
We start the tour in Mutschnengia, a small mountain village opposite Curaglia. When there is little snow, it is pleasant to walk to Stagias on the snow-covered road. However, we use the existing ascent tracks across the field and after the pretty May meadows below the hill we enter the forest. The key point is point 2361: if there is enough snow, we can manage the short ascent on skis, otherwise we have to carry our skis for a few minutes. What lies ahead of us after this stage takes longer than expected, but we finally manage the last few metres to the broad summit. The view of the valley to Sedrun is overwhelming and if we weren't so excited about the descent, we would perhaps stay a little longer and count the summits.
The descent down the north side through the Puzzetta valley to Crest Miez fulfils all the promises of powder snow. We glide easily through the forest on the alpine road to Stagias and then take the snow as it is. The south-facing slope quickly becomes snow-free and is not always ideal for skiing.
Alternative descent: From Stagias in a southerly direction to the Maiensäss of Plauns, then to just before Truaisch and over the suspension bridge to Mutschnengia. Better snow conditions.
Geheimtipp
If you arrive by public transport, it can be started from Platta.
Stop for a "Marenda Medellina" at the Cuntera restaurant in Mutschnengia www.hotel-cuntera.ch
In spring, the slope above Mutschnengias can already be free of snow.
