Pfad der Pioniere 05: Crap Furò / Mittelpunkt Graubündens

60 metres high, 50 metres long and just 5 metres narrow: Crap Furò rises steeply and at the same time delicately. Crap Furò is Romanesque and means "holey rock". The imposing elevation is full of holes, not only in the chasm, which splits the slab to the foot and forms a 2-metre-wide hole at the top. The roughwacke of which the rock is made is also full of holes (post 3). The Crap Furò is located just a few metres from the geographical centre of Graubünden. If you impale the canton on a needle in such a way that it remains exactly in suspension, the tip of the needle protrudes from the ground in Crap Furò.
