Neujahrskonzert

As part of this year's winter concerts, the Chamber Philharmonic Graubünden presents a new work by the German composer Andreas N. Tarkmann titled "Viva la mamma – mothers in opera." The cycle, consisting of newly arranged opera arias, focuses on the role of the mother in opera. The internationally renowned mezzo-soprano Maria Riccarda Wesseling embodies the central mother figure and is accompanied by the Chamber Philharmonic under the direction of Philippe Bach. From Verdi and Puccini to Tchaikovsky and Richard Strauss, Tarkmann's cycle offers a unique opportunity to experience famous mother figures from opera history in a new musical light.
