NATURAMA lecture: Weather forecasts for the Engadine

On every excursion into nature, the topic of weather inevitably accompanies us.
As a forecaster at MeteoSwiss, Yves Karrer knows the fascinating and varied world of weather all too well. In his presentation, he gives us an insight into the creation of weather forecasts at MeteoSwiss, the Federal Office of Meteorology and Climatology. In doing so, he focuses on the forecasts for the national park region. This is because this area poses a particular challenge for meteorologists: the complex topography of the Alps has a strong influence on the weather. Inner-Alpine dry valleys such as the Engadine are particularly tricky nuts.
