Murgbach Waterfall

With its 12.5 meters, the waterfall at the Murgbach is not the largest of its kind. But its appearance is all the more special: the red Verrucano stone and the intense green of the surrounding vegetation give the Murgbach waterfall an almost exotic flair. The largest chestnut forest north of the Alps, where the waterfall is located, also contributes to this. The Murg waterfall can be reached from the village square of Murg in about 30 minutes on the signposted chestnut trail. For water fans, the direct route via the Murgbach Gorge is only a few minutes away from the train station, where glacier mills can be admired.
