MTB Family: Disentis – Trun

Our tour starts easily with a descent to Brulf, on the Rhine. Then we cycle along the river and through the pretty village of Disla. In Madernal we pass a bunker disguised as an alpine hut and anti-tank barriers. It's been a long, long time!

We change to the right side of the river and after a shady alder forest we reach the Plaun Petschen plain with the playground. It is a place to stay longer, because in addition to running around, you can also barbecue, play beach volleyball or swim. 

We stay to the right of the Rhine and cross the sleepy village of Surrein, whose church tower is home to one of the largest field mouse populations in summer. But these only fly out when it gets dark, during the day nothing happens here.

Shortly before Trun we change the Rhine side again and we do not miss the opportunity to drive the last few hundred meters over the Kunstweg. The objects along the way are all made by local artists and sometimes make you smile and sometimes make you think. From Trun train station the train takes us back to Disentis
