Mörserstein, Vignogn

West of the chapel Sogn Gudegn there is a large mortar stone in a wall. This was found during the demolition of a stable in the area of the foundation masonry. The white-grey solid granite block is about 85 cm long, 45 cm high and 30 cm wide. It is believed that it could have served as a fruit and grain mortar, perhaps also as a cult stone, in prehistoric times.
