Beschreibung

Behind the Arosa train station at Obersee, you board the Weisshorn gondola and get off at the middle station. There you collect the all-terrain JST Multidrive wheelchair. An employee of Arosa Bergbahnen instructs you.


The hiking route is well marked.  Shortly after the first station of the Bearland adventure trail, we follow the signpost towards the Carmennahütte. The well-drivable gravel path leads through the beautiful mountain landscape of Arosa; this path is known to many winter guests from the ski area.  

Geheimtipp

The hike is especially beautiful in mid-July. Then you walk through a profusion of flowers like in paradise. 

Ausrüstung

The hiking trail is only passable with the JST.


The JST Mountain Drive - ideal companion for independent excursions. An all-terrain electric wheelchair, specially developed for natural mountain hiking trails, coarse gravel, steps, and cobblestones.  Thanks to two powerful electric motors and the robust construction of the wheelchair, uneven hiking trails, steep inclines, and also long natural surface sections can be easily traversed. 


The Arosa Bergbahnen AG has two models available for rent as needed. 


Pickup & return at the middle station.


Good footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended.

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

From Chur, the Rhaetian Railway runs hourly to Arosa. Traveling with the Rhaetian Railway is made as easy as possible for guests with disabilities. Boarding and alighting assistance can be reserved up to 24 hours before the trip. More information at www.rhb.ch


Once you arrive in Arosa, you stay mobile. The Arosa bus gladly transports its passengers from A to B and strives to meet their needs. If you want to travel by taxi, there are other options: Alpin Taxi (+41 81 377 35 35) has larger taxis where the wheelchair can be loaded into the trunk.

Anreise Information

From Chur, follow the signposts via Schanfiggerstrasse to Arosa. After the village entrance, follow the main road to the post office. Then drive along the Obersee. At the Güterschuppen restaurant, there is a large public parking lot on the right side. 

Parken

At the village entrance is a parking information board. The Ochsenbühl parking garage as well as the public car park at Obersee are recommended.
