Maraner Hauptji Loop

The route starts flat at the Tschuggentor through the Tschuggenwald. From the Scheitenboden, the tour leads up to the Prätschli and to the General Guisan Platz with a pleasant incline. From there it leads steeply over the sandy soils to the Scheidegg, from there again more pleasantly to the Maraner Hauptji. At the highest point of the tour, you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of Arosa and the upper part of the Schanfigg. Now the pretty hiking trail leads through a pine forest to the middle station of the Arosa-Weisshorn cable car and past the Arosa Bear Sanctuary to the Tschuggenhütte. From there, the last stretch goes steeply downhill on a gravel path to the Tschuggentor. 

Plan time on the Maraner Hauptji and enjoy the peace and quiet.

From the Tschuggenhotel in the direction of Scheitenboden, Prätschli and Prätschalp. Shortly before the Prätschalp - at the upper Prätschsee - turn left steeply up to Scheidegg. From there to the Maraner Hauptji, the highest point of the running course. Then descend to the middle station and the Tschuggenhütte and finally to the Tschuggen Grand Hotel.
