Maiensäss Rütland

Surrounded by grassland and forest, the Maiensäss "Rütland" is enthroned high above the valley floor of the Prättigau. The Maiensäss with its Swiss stone pine living room, built with a lot of handicraft flair, is situated in a magnificent panoramic location at around 1575m above sea level. The charming hideaway is finished to a very high standard and furnished with stylish, beautiful wooden furniture. The seating area in front of the house invites you to relax and enjoy, there are deck chairs and a fire bowl for barbecue. Washing is done with fresh spring water outside at the well or then at the heatable laundry tub. As a welcome guest in Maiensäss Rütland you should be able to use a wood-burning stove and wood-burning cooker. The electricity comes from a solar system and is therefore used sparingly. You have the possibility to charge your electronic devices.
The cottage can be reached by private car via Heubergstrasse (you need a driving permit of 20 Fr. per week, which the host will be happy to organise for you on request). Own parking space at the feeder road. It is only a short walk from the road (level stretch, approx. 200m). The check-in is done by the owner, who will gladly explain everything to you in detail. He will of course also help you with the transport of your luggage.
In the village of Fideris (approx. 15 minutes by car) you will find a grocery store, a bakery and an idyllically situated open-air swimming pool with a small gastronomic offer. An extensive network of hiking trails is literally at your feet. Mountain bike tours are possible from the house. At the beginning of the plateau of the Fideriser Heuberge lies the mountain house Arflina with restaurant and children's playground. The Heuberge can be reached by car in 15 minutes via the Heubergstrasse. You can rent scooters or bike boards for the descent in the Berghaus.
