Love – The Dialect Abba Tribute

In 1974 – exactly 50 years ago – ABBA made their breakthrough at the Grand Prix d'Eurovision. "Waterloo" marked the beginning of an unparalleled international career. The Swedish pop group became one of the most successful bands in music history. Although the band, which consisted of the two lovers Agneta and Björn as well as Benny and Anni-Frid, separated in 1982, their songs still enjoy great popularity today.

In a multimedia concert production full of surprises, the Secondhand Orchestra with Roman Riklin, Daniel Schaub, Frölein Da Capo and Adrian Stern follows the eternally recurring course of love by means of parodic dialect versions of the ABBA songs. ABBA hits such as "Dancing Queen" or song gems such as "The Winner Takes it all" are uninhibitedly interwoven with their own new dialect songs, which are associated with the original material. Radio legend FM François Mürner once again slips into the role of the tongue-in-cheek chronicler with audiovisual contributions.

"Love – The Dialect Abba Tribute" is a unique homage to the immortal hits of Swedish songwriters and proves that ABBA still has the right soundtrack for every situation in our own love story.

With the highly acclaimed productions Sgt. Pepper and Freddie, the Secondhand Orchestra took the hearts of the audience by storm. For this, the band was honored with the Comedy Award in 2022 and nominated for the Prix Walo for best musical theater production in 2023. Now Switzerland's most popular crossover troupe is facing up to high expectations and celebrating the 50th anniversary of ABBA's breakthrough with their third tribute show after the Beatles and Queen.
