Landscape shaped by landslides

We are standing directly on the upper edge of the Flims landslide. It is the landscape-defining element around Flims, the entire valley has been filled in by the landslide deposits. A 30km long lake formed behind the natural dam when it broke and the Rhine Gorge began to form.
