La Punt - Zuoz circular trail

The start and finish of this run are in La Punt Chamues-ch, which is situated at the foot of the Albula pass and showcases grand patrician houses from the 16th and 17th centuries. The run starts at the La Punt Tourist Information and leads southwest and past the Romanesque church of San Andrea (13th century). Then you will turn left in the direction of Zuoz and follow the path through fragrant alpine forests. Short ups and downs with views of the golf course and the family ski region of Zuoz take you to Zuoz Resgia. After a short run on asphalt across the Inn bridge, the route brings you to the orographic left side of the Inn. Then you will enjoy a relaxing run to Madulain through the meadow landscape San Batrumieu which is acknowledged as part of the Federal Inventory of Landscapes of National Importance. In the smallest of the Upper Engadin municipalities, Madulain, you will find typical Engadin houses. On the village edge, the circular trail takes you via the underpass to La Punt where you can admire the Chesa Merleda, at the village entrance, with its white crenelations. Also take note of the Albertini houses with their lavishly decorated facades and the impressive Sandoz mansion.
