Theatre Prättigau
Kulturhaus Rosengarten
Beschreibung
The Prättigau Cultural Archive collects and archives written and pictorial testimonies of the Prättigau Valley and its inhabitants. Together with the Heimatmuseum Prättigau, the archive forms the collective memory of the valley.
Both institutions are housed in the Kulturhaus Rosengarten in Grüsch. The cultural archive is divided into a reference library, an archive and a documentation section.
The stately Haus zum Rosengarten was built in the middle of the 16th century for the local noble family of Ott and was family-owned until 1971. Since 1981, the building has served as a cultural centre with theatre, museum and archive. The library of Ott, which belongs to the house, forms its own collection. The KAP is located in von Ott'schen Haus, called "zum Rosengarten" at Landstrasse 5 in Grüsch.
Opened in 1998 and integrated into the Kulturhaus Rosengarten, the kleintheater offers a sophisticated, varied insight into the cabaret scene. The vaulted basement room is acoustically very suitable and radiates an intimate atmosphere. There are around 70 seats in the stepped grandstand. On the game evenings, the extraordinary cellar bar is open.
