Beschreibung
At the train stop or the car park in Rueras, the skiers can already click on their skis and head north past the mountain pasture huts in Pardatsch into the Val Milar. The trail slopes gently upward. Halfway up, we reach the hut at Paliu Cotschna, where we take a break, leaning against the warm walls of the hut and gathering strength for the short but steep ascent above the hut. At the height of winter, we're happy that someone has already cleared a trail through the snow and in spring we mustn't forget the crampons. A flat section is followed by a few steep turns until we reach the pass where we take a break. We now follow the narrow, partially snow-covered ridge to the summit. We have to climb up the rock a bit at the very end. There's not much room at the summit cross so we make ourselves as comfortable as possible and enjoy the magnificent view down to the depths of the valley. Our descent follows the ascent route in a southwest and southerly direction. We frequently turn around to admire our fresh tracks in the snow.
Geheimtipp
And if walking along the exposed peak ridge is too daring for you, you still have a great view from the winter peak north of the gap.
Sicherheitshinweis
The ascent behind the hut requires careful assessment. The peak ridge is very exposed.
