The Rhine is big and long. Today, however, we only drive a small section along Europe's longest river. The round is ideal as an after-work round, during a meeting break or just to discover the area. The path leads over the oldest covered wooden bridge in Graubünden and past an old, water-powered Schmitte. It is usually already drivable in spring.

Beschreibung
Shortly after you have crossed the Rhine, the stress of everyday life falls away from you. On forest roads you pass the villages Strada and Schnaus. There is the old Schmitte in which the famous Schnauser Plüge were produced until the 1970s. Even the King of Bhutan owns such a plough. After a short, steep ramp and an easy single trail, you cross the Rhine below Rueun over the oldest covered wooden bridge in the canton of Graubünden. Now it's time to roll out and then there is enough time for window shopping or a small coffee in the old town of Ilanz.
Geheimtipp
After the Schmitte in Schnaus, at the stream briefly look at the technology of the water wheel. It used to drive the bellows of the Esse.
